There were moments when the mist was so thick you couldn’t see more than a few feet but that’s the magic of Kedarnath. You don’t see the path; you feel it. I decided to walk, and yes…it was tough. But also one of the most spiritually moving experiences I’ve ever had. The route was filled with chants of “Har Har Mahadev,” waterfalls, misty forests, and fellow pilgrims. By evening, I reached the majestic Kedarnath Temple. I can’t describe the emotion I felt standing in front of it surrounded by snow. We attended the evening aarti, stayed overnight in a nearby guesthouse arranged by Tripwise
The final leg of the journey took us back to Haridwar. As I watched the mountains slowly fade into the distance, I realized I was going home with more than just memories I was returning with clarity, peace, and a quiet kind of happiness.
After a morning darshan and one last glimpse of the temple, we began our descent and journey back to Haridwar. Watching the Himalayas slowly disappear behind us, I knew I was leaving with more than just photos—I was carrying back clarity, inner peace, and spiritual strength.
Back in Haridwar, I took a moment by the river to reflect. What started as a long-postponed trip had become a soul-awakening experience.
